Join a stunning trek through the heartland of the lower Solukhumbu with Brigitte Muir OAM.
Travelling by private 4WD to Shivalaya, you will follow in the footsteps of Sir Edmund Hillary and Tenzing Norgay along the historic trails they took on their legendary 1953 Everest ascent. The journey includes a climb to the summit of Pikey Peak, where Sir Ed’s favourite view of the entire Himalayan Range unfolds before us. The experience continues as we cross the Solu River to Phaplu and meet the inspiring women who oversee AHF-supported telehealth services in the Solukhumbu. A transformative journey of adventure, culture, and deep connection to the Himalayas.
To help support the work that the Australian Himalayan Foundation does in the region, each of the trip attendees will be raising crucial funds to support AHF's work and to give back to the communities they are visiting.
These funds will help support the work AHF conducts in the Himalaya with partners such as Action for Nepal and our health program in Nepal.
