Hike Katoomba to Leura | Blue Mountains, NSW
Step into the wild with Greg Mortimer, one of Australia’s most legendary mountaineers, as he leads a stunning hike through the Blue Mountains. As the first Australian (alongside Tim Macartney-Snape) to summit Everest via a new route, without supplementary oxygen, Greg’s trailblazing legacy is unmatched. With first ascents on K2, Annapurna II and Mount Minto, and as a former AHF Chair, his passion for adventure and the Himalaya runs deep.
This 10 km hike takes in some of the most breathtaking lookouts from Echo Point to Leura Cascades, winding through cool forest trails beneath the Three Sisters. As you walk, hear first-hand stories of Himalayan exploration and the ongoing impact of AHF’s work in remote mountain communities.
A rare chance to hike alongside a true pioneer—don’t miss it!
