‘Hands of Precision’ limited edition print by Tashi Lama (2025)

This is a limited edition print of Hands of Precision by 2024 AHF Himalayan Art Award recipient Tashi Lama. The original piece, was created as part of a body of work for his 2025 exhibition Tānā Bānā at the Siddhartha Art Gallery in Kathmandu. With only 15 available, this print is from a limited run of 100 and was produced in consultation with the artist. Each piece comes with a specially designed certificate of authenticity.

Rooted in his family’s history in Nepal’s carpet industry, Tashi’s practice draws on childhood memories of weaving workshops and the quiet rhythm of artisanal labour. Trained in traditional Thangka painting and contemporary art, he begins each work with a carpet-inspired grid and layers hand-ground mineral pigments to create rich, textile-like textures. His paintings honour the dignity of makers and reimagine Nepal’s craft traditions through memory, precision and care.
