WHAT IS THE KATHMANDU NEVEREST CHALLENGE?

Neverest is a uniquely challenging, uniquely accessible test of endurance. Register as a team or do it solo – your mission is to run or hike laps of a hill until your total vertical ascent is over 8,848m, the height of Mt Everest above sea-level. You may never summit Mt Everest, but everyone can Neverest!

Complete 53 laps solo or as part of a team to cover the 106km distance with 9000 metres of vertical gain. Neverest raises funds for the Australian Himalayan Foundation’s work in education in Nepal.

Complete 35 laps solo or as part of a team to cover the 103km distance with 9000 metres of vertical gain. Individuals start on Friday at 6pm, teams can start anytime from 7am Saturday morning

Complete 88 laps solo or as part of a team to cover the 108km distance with 9000 metres of vertical gain. Solos start 6:30pm Friday night, teams can start anytime from 7am Saturday morning

 

FAQS

WHO CAN ENTER?

Neverest is open to anyone. Children under the age of 16 can only join the team event, and must be accompanied by a supervising adult at all times.

WHEN DO ENTRIES CLOSE?

WHAT DOES MY ENTRY COVER?

Your entry covers the cost of the event, your Kathmandu Neverest t-shirt (while stocks last), water and a sausage sizzle on the day

HOW DO I GET MY T-SHIRT?

Your Kathmandu Neverest t-shirt will be available to pick up at registration on the day

HOW DOES NEVEREST WORK?

The Kathmandu Neverest Challenge is the repetition of laps up a hill until you reach the height of Mt Everest – 8,848 metres. You can do it as a team or individually
