Kathmandu Summit Club Trek – Nepal

October 1, 2018 - October 17, 2018

The Kathmandu Summit Club treks represent an amazing opportunity to get up close and personal with the people and projects supported by the Australian Himalayan Foundation in Nepal, India and Bhutan.

Our Nepal 2018 Summit Club trek takes place in the famous Everest region of Nepal. The main focus of this trip is to visit the Australian Himalayan Foundation projects and to participate in the rebuild of the Garma School after the devastating earthquakes of 2015. You will be doing some light work on this trip! It could be planting trees to help stabilise the ground around the plateau, or it could be painting to ensure these kids have an environment that is not just functional, but beautiful. Either way your contribution is valued, and will help give you an unforgettable experience.

This trip is also a rare opportunity to experience at a grass roots level, the hard work and commitment of the Australian Himalayan Foundation in Nepal, but it also offers magnificent trekking in unrivalled mountain scenery. Beginning in the vibrant and colourful city of Kathmandu, we take time to visit some of the world heritage listed sites before taking a mountain flight into the foothills to participate in the Garma School project. Following our time at Garma we ascend into the Everest Region on an unforgettable trek that takes us into the Sherpa heart of Nepal. Finally, we take a magnificent flight out of the mountains and back to Kathmandu.

Each Kathmandu Summit Club trek is a fully supported adventure, with the bonus of a $250 Kathmandu gear voucher.
